[Adverse Reactions]
1. Muscle dysfunction (diffuse pain, tenderness, weakness) and, rarely, severe rhabdomyolysis have been reported with concomitant use of other fibrates. These adverse reactions are generally reversible after discontinuation of the drug (see Warnings).
2. Other less common, moderate adverse reactions have also been reported: gastrointestinal or intestinal digestive disorders, such as dyspepsia; elevated transaminases (see Precautions). Allergic skin reactions, such as rash, pruritus, urticaria, or photosensitivity reactions, have occasionally been reported. In some cases, even months after discontinuation of the drug, erythema, papules, versicolor, and eczema may reappear after exposure to sunlight or artificial ultraviolet light. Long-term comparative studies are currently unavailable to fully evaluate adverse reactions, particularly the risk of gallstones.
[Drug Interactions]
Drug interactions may occur if used concomitantly with other medications. Consult your physician or pharmacist for details.
