[Indications]
For the expectorant treatment of respiratory diseases such as bronchial asthma, chronic asthmatic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, tuberculosis, pneumoconiosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema, atypical mycobacterial disease, pneumonia, and diffuse bronchitis.

Pharmacological Action: This product is a mucolytic agent that inhibits the excessive formation of goblet cells in the trachea that secrete mucus and the production of highly viscous fucoxanthin, thereby reducing sputum viscosity and facilitating expectoration. It also increases serous tracheal secretion and has an inhibitory effect on tracheal inflammation. Toxicological Effects: Reproductive Toxicity: No effect on fertility was observed in rats administered a 2000 mg/kg dose. A few rabbits administered a 600 mg/kg dose experienced miscarriage, but no teratogenic effects were observed. Genotoxicity: The Ames test, the Chinese hamster lung cell chromosome aberration test, and the mouse bone marrow micronucleus test all showed negative results.
