[Dosage and Administration]
Oral. Adults and children over 12 years old: 2 capsules at a time, 3 times a day. Do not exceed 8 capsules in 24 hours. Children 6-12 years old: 1 capsule at a time, 3 times a day. Do not exceed 4 capsules in 24 hours.
[Adverse Reactions]
Minor reactions such as dizziness, mild drowsiness, nausea, dry mouth, and stomach discomfort may occur occasionally. These reactions disappear quickly and resolve on their own, and do not affect continued use.
[Contraindications]
Yumei Capsules (I) are contraindicated in patients allergic to dextromethorphan hydrobromide or guaifenesin. Women under 3 months of pregnancy and those with a history of mental illness should not use Yumei Capsules (I).

Dextromethorphan hydrobromide in this compound is a centrally acting antitussive that suppresses coughs by inhibiting the medullary cough center. Its antitussive effect is equal to or slightly stronger than codeine, without analgesic or addictive properties. Guaifenesin glyceryl ether stimulates the gastric mucosa, reflexively increasing bronchial secretions, which helps dilute sputum and encourage expectoration, thereby eliminating phlegm and relieving cough.
