[Indications]
For bacterial vaginosis, candidal vulvovaginal disease, trichomoniasis vaginitis and mixed bacterial, fungal, and trichomoniasis vaginitis
[Usage and Dosage]
Vaginal administration. Place this product in the posterior fornix of the vagina, 1 tablet at a time, once a day. Continuous use for 7 days is a course of treatment, and a course of treatment is repeated after the first menstrual period after discontinuation of the drug.
[Adverse Reactions]
Occasionally, rash, vaginal burning sensation, itching or other mucosal irritation symptoms may occur. Because this product can be absorbed from the mucosa, long-term and large-scale use may also produce the same adverse reactions as systemic medication, such as nausea, lack of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, taste changes, dry mouth, metallic taste in the mouth, etc. Epileptic seizures and peripheral neuropathy, the latter mainly manifested as numbness and paresthesia of the extremities. Others have reversible granulocytopenia. Allergic reactions such as rash, urticaria, itching, etc. Central nervous system symptoms such as headache, dizziness, syncope, paresthesia, limb numbness, ataxia and mental confusion. Elevated serum aminotransferase, fever, cystitis, dysuria, dark urine, etc. are all reversible and can recover on their own after discontinuation of the drug.
[Contraindications]
1. Patients allergic to pyrrole (imidazole) drugs are contraindicated. 2. Patients with active central nervous system diseases and blood diseases are contraindicated. 3. Pregnant women are prohibited from using this product.
[Precautions]
1. This product is only for vaginal administration, and should not be taken orally. 2. Avoid using this product during menstruation. 3. Women with no sexual history should use this product under the guidance of a physician. 4. Wash your hands or wear cots or gloves when administering this product. 5. If there is a burning sensation, redness, swelling, etc. at the medication site, stop taking the drug, wash the local drug, and consult a physician if necessary. 6. Use with caution in patients with liver and kidney dysfunction. 11. When treating vaginal trichomoniasis, their sexual partners must be treated at the same time. 12. [Drug interactions]
1. Chlorhexidine is incompatible with soap, potassium iodide, etc. It is also incompatible with borax, bicarbonate, carbonate, oxide, citrate, phosphate and sulfate. 2. When this product is used in combination with oxytetracycline, the latter can interfere with the effect of metronidazole in removing vaginal Trichomonas. 3. After long-term and large-scale use, it can also produce drug interactions similar to systemic medication after absorption through the mucosa, such as inhibiting the metabolism of warfarin and other oral anticoagulants, interfering with disulfiram metabolism and serum aminotransferase and lactate dehydrogenase test results, and combining with liver microsomal enzyme inducers or inhibitors to accelerate or slow down the metabolism of this product in the liver. 4. [Pharmacological Action]
The metronidazole contained in this product is an azole anti-anaerobic and anti-trichomonal drug; clotrimazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal drug that has antibacterial effects on a variety of superficial and deep fungi. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of fungal cell membranes and affect their metabolic processes; chlorhexidine acetate is a quaternary ammonium salt cationic surfactant that has a bactericidal effect on Gram-positive bacteria. The combination of the three drugs has a synergistic effect, which is not only suitable for simple fungal, bacterial or trichomonal infections, but also for mixed infections.
