[Pharmacological Actions]
Each tablet contains 125mg of bergenin and 2mg of chlorpheniramine maleate. Bergenin is an isocoumarin compound extracted and refined from the Xinjiang plant Bergenia crassifolia. It has excellent antitussive and expectorant effects for chronic bronchitis. Chlorpheniramine maleate has a strong histamine H1 receptor blocking effect, can alleviate other respiratory symptoms caused by allergies, and also has a mild depressant effect on the central nervous system.
