[Indications/Main functions]
Treat moderate and severe symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) with prostate enlargement, and reduce the risk of acute urinary retention (AUR) and BPH-related surgery.

[Usage and dosage]
Adults (including the elderly): The recommended dose is one capsule (0.5mg) each time, once a day, orally. The capsule should be swallowed whole, not chewed or opened, because the contents are irritating to the oropharyngeal mucosa. The capsule can be taken with or without food. Although symptom improvement can be observed early in treatment, it takes 6 months to achieve therapeutic effect. No dose adjustment is required for the elderly. Renal impairment: The effect of renal impairment on the pharmacokinetics of dutasteride has not been studied. No dose adjustment is expected for patients with renal impairment (see [Pharmacokinetics]). Hepatic impairment: The effect of hepatic impairment on the pharmacokinetics of dutasteride has not been studied. However, this product should be used with caution in patients with mild to moderate hepatic impairment (see [Precautions]/[Pharmacokinetics]). This product is contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic impairment ([Contraindications]).
