[Pharmacological Actions]
This product is a cyclized derivative of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). It has the ability to protect the cortex from hypoxia, protecting against learning and memory deficits caused by various chemicals, including hypercapnia, scopolamine, or electroconvulsive therapy. However, it has no sedative or excitatory effects, nor does it have vasodilatory effects. Animal studies have also shown that this product works in part by protecting cholinergic neuron function, potentially preventing scopolamine-induced decreases in acetylcholine levels and memory loss in the brain. It also stimulates choline reuptake in the presynaptic membrane, accelerating acetylcholine synthesis.

[Storage]
Keep in a dark, airtight container.
