[Indications]
Digestive dysfunction caused by disease or medication (nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal distension, upper abdominal discomfort, heartburn, belching, etc.).
[Dosage and Administration]
Adults: 10-20 mg (1-2 tablets) three times a day. If needed, take an additional dose at bedtime. Children: 1-2 mg/kg/day, divided into three doses. If needed, take an additional dose at bedtime. The total daily dose should not exceed 30 mg.
[Adverse Reactions]
Gastrointestinal reactions, thirst, chest pain, allergic reactions, and elevated serum prolactin levels may occur occasionally. Children may experience extrapyramidal symptoms.
[Contraindications]
Contraindicated in patients for whom stimulation of gastric motility may pose a risk (e.g., gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical obstruction, or perforation), or in patients with prolactin-secreting pituitary tumors or prolactin-secreting adenomas.
[Drug Interactions]
Concomitant use with phenothiazines, butyrophenones, and rauwolfia alkaloids may result in endocrine dysfunction or extrapyramidal symptoms. Use with caution and avoid concomitant use with digoxin or anticholinergic drugs. Concomitant use with CYP3A4 inhibitors may increase plasma concentrations of this drug.
