Hypoxemia, in particular, can significantly affect heart rhythm, so serum potassium should be monitored.
[Use in Special Populations]
Precautions for Children: This product is not designed for use in children under 12 years of age.
Precautions for Pregnancy and Lactation: In animal studies (rat studies), use of this product in late pregnancy has been reported to inhibit uterine smooth muscle contractions, leading to delayed delivery and placental pain. 2. Concomitant use with catecholamines such as epinephrine and isoproterenol can cause arrhythmias and should not be used together.
3. Patients currently taking MAO inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants should exercise caution when taking this product, as this may enhance its effects on the vascular system.
4. Concomitant use with non-selective beta-blockers such as propranolol is contraindicated.
5. Patients currently taking large amounts of other sympathetic stimulants should exercise caution when taking this product.
[Pharmacological Actions]
Ambroxol hydrochloride is a combination preparation consisting of ambroxol hydrochloride and clenbuterol hydrochloride. Ambroxol hydrochloride is a mucolytic agent that increases secretion of serous glands in the respiratory mucosa, decreases mucous gland secretion, reduces sputum viscosity, promotes the secretion of pulmonary surfactant, and increases bronchial ciliary motility, making sputum easier to expectorate. Clenbuterol hydrochloride is a selective beta-receptor agonist that relaxes bronchial smooth muscle, enhances ciliary motility, dissolves mucus, and promotes sputum discharge.
