HGF is a small, positively charged polypeptide extracted from fresh suckling pig liver. It stimulates DNA synthesis in hepatocytes and promotes hepatocyte regeneration. It also promotes the repair of damaged hepatocytes and reduces serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels in toxic liver damage.
