Product Overview

[Drug name]
Generic name: Polycresol sulfonaldehyde suppository
Trade name: Yibaoliao Polycresol sulfonaldehyde suppository 90mg*8 pieces
Pinyin full code: YiBaoLiao JuJiaFenHuangQuanShuan
[Main ingredients]
The main ingredient of this product is polycresol sulfonaldehyde, which is a polymer of metacresol sulfonaldehyde and formaldehyde.
[Properties]
This product is a white to light reddish brown suppository.
[Indications/main functions]
It is used to treat cervical erosion, cervicitis, various vaginal infections (such as increased leucorrhea caused by bacteria, trichomonas and fungi), vulvar itching, and pressure ulcers caused by the use of pessaries.
[Specifications]
90mg*8 pieces (Yibaoliao)
[Usage and dosage]
Depending on the condition, one vaginal suppository can be used every other day or every day. If polycresol sulfonaldehyde concentrate is used to cauterize the lesion, one suppository is placed on the day between two cauterizations. For ease of use, it is best for the patient to lie on his back, soak the suppository with water, and then insert it deep into the vagina. It is usually appropriate to take the medicine before going to bed at night, and use a sanitary belt to prevent contamination of clothing and bedding.
[Adverse Reactions]
Occasionally, there are local irritation symptoms (such as burning or pain) after taking the medicine, which are usually tolerable and will disappear quickly.
[Contraindications]
During pregnancy, especially in the last three months of pregnancy, any treatment of the cervix should not be used, and treatment of the vagina and its surrounding areas should only be used when absolutely necessary.
[Drug Interactions]
Polycresol sulfonaldehyde can only be applied topically. Since it cannot be ruled out that it interacts with other drugs, avoid using more than two drugs at the same time in the same area.
[Precautions]
1. This product is for external use and should not be taken orally. 2. This product should avoid contact with the eyes. 3. This product will accelerate and enhance the repair process. If necrotic tissue falls off from the lesion after taking the medicine, sometimes even large pieces, there is no need to panic. 4. Stop treatment during menstruation; avoid sexual intercourse during treatment. Do not use irritating soap to clean the affected area. 5. After cotton fabrics and leather come into contact with the liquid, they must be washed with water immediately before the preparation is dry. 6. The spots on the vaginal suppository are a natural phenomenon produced by its matrix, which does not affect the use and efficacy of the drug, nor does it affect its tolerance.

[Pharmacology and toxicology]
Pharmacological action The mechanism of action of polyphenol sulfonaldehyde is to kill bacteria, fungi and trichomonas through strong acid and protein coagulation. It selectively causes necrosis or diseased tissue and denaturation of columnar epithelial proteins. It causes vasoconstriction and plasma protein coagulation to stop bleeding. Polyphenol sulfonaldehyde has a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect, including common Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria, fungi and certain viruses, among which Gardnerella Vaginatis, anaerobic bacteria Trichomonas and Candida are particularly sensitive to it. However, the vaginal lactobacillus flora is basically unaffected. So far, there is no report of drug resistance. Polyphenol sulfonaldehyde has a selective coagulation effect on necrotic or diseased tissues, which can promote tissue regeneration and epithelial re-covering. Healthy squamous epithelium is not affected, while the cytoplasm and nucleus of columnar epithelium may swell after contact with this drug, and then shrink in a few seconds. Topical application of polyphenol sulfonaldehyde is not toxic. More than 50 years of clinical experience in toxicological research has proved that topical application of polyphenol sulfonaldehyde is non-toxic. The acute toxicity LD50 of mice is 360mg/kg after intravenous administration and 2400mg/kg after oral administration; the LD50 of rats is 400mg/kg and 3500mg/kg after intravenous and oral administration respectively. The LD50 of mice is 200 times the human therapeutic dose, and the LD50 of rats is 300 times the human therapeutic dose. Chronic toxicity: rats and dogs were given 40 times and 9 times the human therapeutic dose for 3 months, respectively, and no relevant toxic effects were found. The skin tolerance test of polycresol sulfonaldehyde was conducted on the hairless back of rats. In the first 10 days of the 14-day observation, polycresol sulfonaldehyde (4%, 11% and 36%) was applied, which only caused transient skin redness, which lasted until the third application at most. Reproductive toxicity studies on pregnant rats and rabbits have shown that polycresol sulfonaldehyde has no embryotoxicity or teratogenicity. Mutagenicity and carcinogenicity There are no related studies on carcinogenesis, and the Ames test has shown that polycresol sulfonaldehyde has no mutagenic effect. Although there are no reports of carcinogenicity studies, no mutagenic or carcinogenic effects have been found in many years of clinical application.
