Citicoline (CDPC) is a nucleoside derivative, chemically known as cytidine diphosphate choline. It participates in the biosynthesis of phosphatidylcholine and is a brain metabolic activator. It can enhance the function of the ascending reticular activating system, reduce cerebral vascular resistance, increase cerebral blood flow, improve cerebral blood circulation, promote brain metabolism, and restore functional recovery.
