[Dosage and Administration]
Oral administration. 0.8-1.6g (2-4 tablets) three times daily for a course of 4-8 weeks. Children should use half the dose.

[Adverse Reactions]
Common gastrointestinal adverse reactions include nausea, abdominal discomfort, anorexia, bloating, and abdominal pain. The severity of symptoms is directly related to the dosage. Central nervous system adverse reactions include excitement, irritability, dizziness, headache, and insomnia, but these symptoms are mild and unrelated to the dosage. These symptoms disappear after discontinuation of the drug. Mild liver impairment, manifested as mild elevations in transaminases, has occasionally been observed, but is unrelated to the dosage.

[Pharmacology and Toxicology]
This product is a brain metabolism-enhancing drug and a ring-shaped derivative of g-aminobutyric acid. It has similar effects on protecting against physical and chemical damage to brain function. It can boost brain ATP, promote acetylcholine synthesis, and positively enhance the conduction of nerve impulses, thus promoting brain metabolism. It can counteract physical and chemical damage to brain function. It has an ameliorative effect on retrograde amnesia caused by hypoxia. It can enhance memory and improve learning ability. Acute toxicity studies in animals showed that oral gavage doses of more than 10g/kg did not cause mortality in mice. The median lethal dose (LD50) after intravenous administration was 9.2g/kg. Subacute and chronic toxicity studies did not reveal any adverse effects on growth and development in rats and dogs. It had no effects on vital organs or functions, including the blood, heart, liver, kidneys, and brain.
