[Indications/Main Functions]
Nitroglycerin tablets are used for the treatment and prevention of angina pectoris caused by coronary heart disease. They can also be used to lower blood pressure or treat congestive heart failure.

[Usage and Dosage]
Adults take 0.25~0.5mg sublingually at a time. Repeat one tablet every 5 minutes until the pain is relieved. If the pain persists after taking a total of 3 tablets within 15 minutes, seek medical attention immediately. Use it prophylactically 5~10 minutes before activity or defecation to avoid inducing angina pectoris.

[Adverse Reactions]
(1) Headache: It may occur immediately after taking the drug and may be severe and persistent.
(2) Occasionally, dizziness, weakness, palpitations and other symptoms of orthostatic hypotension may occur, especially in patients who are standing or immobilized.
(3) Therapeutic doses may cause significant hypotension, manifested as nausea, vomiting, weakness, sweating, pallor and collapse, especially in patients who are standing or immobilized.

[Contraindications]

It is also contraindicated in patients using sildenafil citrate, which enhances the antihypertensive effect of nitroglycerin.

[Precautions]
(1) The minimum dose that can effectively relieve acute angina pectoris should be used. Overdose may lead to tolerance. Nitroglycerin tablets are for sublingual use and should not be swallowed.
(2) Severe hypotension may occur with small doses, especially in an upright position. When taking the medication sublingually, the patient should sit up whenever possible to avoid falling due to dizziness.
(3) It should be used with caution in patients with hypovolemia or low systolic blood pressure.
(4) When hypotension is induced, paradoxical bradycardia and angina pectoris may be present.
(5) It may worsen angina pectoris caused by hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy.
(6) Tolerance to the vascular and antianginal effects may occur.
(7) If blurred vision or dry mouth occurs, the drug should be discontinued. Excessive dosage may cause severe headache.
