[Indications]
Used to relieve stomach pain, heartburn, and acid reflux caused by excessive gastric acid.
[Dosage and Administration]
Oral. Adults: 1 tablet twice daily. Do not exceed 2 tablets in 24 hours.
[Adverse Reactions]
1. Circulatory System: Rarely, increased pulse rate, increased blood pressure, and facial flushing may occur.
2. Digestive System: Rarely, liver function abnormalities such as elevated transaminases may occur. Rarely, abdominal distension, loss of appetite, constipation, diarrhea, loose stools, thirst, nausea, and vomiting may occur.
3. Central Nervous System: Rarely, headache, heaviness of the head, and general fatigue may occur.
4. Allergic Reactions: Rarely, rash and urticaria may occur. If allergic reactions occur, discontinue the drug.
5.Other: Rarely, menstrual irregularities, facial edema, and tinnitus.
[Contraindications]
1. Contraindicated in patients with severe renal insufficiency.
2. Contraindicated in pregnant and lactating women.
[Precautions]
1. Do not use this product continuously for more than 7 days. If symptoms do not improve, consult a physician or pharmacist.
2. Consult a physician or pharmacist for pediatric dosage.
3. Use with caution in patients with hepatic insufficiency and children.
4. This product is primarily excreted by the kidneys; use with caution in patients with renal insufficiency.

[Drug Interactions]
1. Probenecid may inhibit the renal tubular excretion of famotidine. Consult a physician when using this product concomitantly.
2. This product should not be used concomitantly with other antacids. Antacids containing aluminum hydroxide or magnesium, for example, may reduce the bioavailability of famotidine, its absorption, and blood concentrations.
3. This product may slightly affect the pharmacokinetics of theophylline, warfarin, diazepam, and nifedipine. Consult a physician before concomitant use.
4. Concomitant use with other medications may result in drug interactions. Consult a physician or pharmacist for details.
[Pharmacological Actions]
This product has a significant inhibitory effect on gastric acid secretion and may also inhibit the secretion of pepsin.
