[Ingredients]
The main ingredient of this product is thymopetides, a biologically active polypeptide extracted from the thymus of healthy calves.
[Properties]
This product is an enteric-coated tablet. After removing the coating, it is off-white or light yellow to yellow-brown.
[Indications]
(1) For patients with chronic hepatitis B.
(2) Various primary or secondary T cell deficiency diseases (such as congenital immunodeficiency disease in children).
(3) Certain autoimmune diseases (such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, childhood bronchial asthma and asthmatic bronchitis, etc.).
(4) Various diseases with low cellular immune function (such as viral hepatitis, prevention of upper respiratory tract infection, stubborn oral ulcers, etc.).
(5) Adjuvant treatment of tumors.

[Dosage and Administration]
Oral administration. 5-30 mg each time, 1-3 times a day or as directed by a doctor.
[Adverse Reactions]
(1) Well tolerated. Some patients may experience adverse reactions such as nausea, fever, dizziness, chest tightness, and weakness. A few patients may occasionally experience drowsiness.
(2) ALT levels may rise temporarily in patients with chronic hepatitis B. If there are no signs of liver failure, this product can still be used.
(3) Very few patients may experience mild allergic reactions, which may disappear after discontinuation of the drug.
[Contraindications]
(1) This product is contraindicated in patients with allergic reactions to it or those who have undergone organ transplantation.
(2) This product is contraindicated in patients with hyperthymic function or thymic tumors.
[Precautions]
(1) This product exerts its therapeutic effect by enhancing the patient's immune function. Therefore, it should be used with caution in patients who are receiving immunosuppressive therapy (such as organ transplant recipients) unless the benefits of the treatment clearly outweigh the risks.
(2) Liver function should be checked regularly during treatment.
(3) This product should be used with caution in patients under 18 years of age.
[Use in Pregnant and Lactating Women]
Animal fertility studies have shown that there is no difference in embryonic abnormalities between the control group and the drug-treated group. It is not known whether this drug is harmful to the embryo or affects fertility. Therefore, this drug should only be used in pregnant women when it is absolutely necessary. Although it has not been confirmed that this product is excreted through human milk, it should still be used with caution in lactating women.

[Drug Interactions]
(1) This product can be used in combination with many commonly used drugs, including interferon, anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics, hormones, analgesics, antihypertensive drugs, diuretics, drugs for treating cardiovascular diseases, central nervous system drugs, and contraceptives, without any interference.
(2) This product has a synergistic effect on improving immune function when used in combination with interferon.
(3) This product can enhance the antibacterial effect when used in combination with antibiotics.
(4) This product can reduce the toxic side effects of chemotherapy when used in combination with chemotherapy drugs.
[Pharmacology and Toxicology]
This product is an immunomodulatory drug. It regulates and enhances human cellular immune function and promotes T lymphocyte maturation. It promotes the maturation of T lymphocytes in peripheral blood after mitogen activation, increases the secretion of various lymphokines (such as interferon-α and interferon-γ, interleukin-2, and interleukin-3) in response to various antigens or mitogens, and increases the levels of lymphokine receptors on T cells. It also enhances lymphocyte responses by activating T4 helper cells. Furthermore, this product may affect the chemotaxis of NK precursor cells, making them more cytotoxic after exposure to interferon. Furthermore, this product can enhance the body's resistance to radiation. Therefore, this product has the potential to regulate and enhance human cellular immune function.
