[Indications/Main Functions]
Indicated for expectorant treatment of respiratory diseases such as bronchial asthma, chronic asthmatic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, tuberculosis, pneumoconiosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema, atypical mycobacterial disease, pneumonia, and diffuse bronchiolitis.

[Dosage and Administration]
Oral. Generally, adults take 0.4g (2 capsules) three times a day after meals. Adjust the dose appropriately based on age and symptoms, or follow your doctor's advice.
[Adverse Reactions]
1. Digestive System: Common (1/100, [1/10]) symptoms include loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting; rare (1/1,000, [1/100]) symptoms include abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, chest tightness, stomach pain, stomach discomfort, stomach burning sensation, abdominal distension, and dry mouth;
2. Sensory Organs: Tinnitus and abnormal taste are rare;
3. Psychoneuria: Headache, numbness, and dizziness are rare;
4. Urinary System: Elevated BUN and proteinuria are rare;
5. Skin and Mucous Membranes: Rash, erythema, and itching are rare; urticaria (incidence unknown);
6. Sevens-Johnson disease and toxic epidermal necrolysis (Lyell's disease): Similar drugs have been reported to cause the above symptoms. Therefore, if similar symptoms occur while taking this product, discontinue use and take appropriate measures.
7. Liver function impairment: Liver function impairment accompanied by elevated AST (GOT), ALT (GPT), and ALP may occur (all common). Close observation is recommended. If abnormalities occur, discontinue use and take appropriate measures.
8. Other reactions: Fever, flushing, fatigue, chest tightness, and frequent urination are rare; palpitations and edema (incidence unknown).
[Contraindications]
This product is contraindicated in patients with allergies.
[Drug Interactions]
This product is a mucolytic agent that inhibits the excessive formation of goblet cells in the trachea that secrete mucus and the production of highly viscous fucoxanthin, thereby reducing sputum viscosity and facilitating expectoration. It also increases serous tracheal secretion and has an inhibitory effect on tracheal inflammation.
[Precautions]
1. Patients with Impaired Liver Function: This product may cause further deterioration of liver function in patients with impaired liver function.
2. Patients with Cardiac Dysfunction: Similar drugs have been reported to have adverse effects in patients with impaired heart function.
[Pediatric Use]
The safety and efficacy of fudosteine in pediatric patients have not been evaluated.
