Lansoprazole
[Properties]
White enteric-coated tablets, appearing white or off-white after removal of the enteric coating.
[Indications]
Gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, reflux esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (gastrinoma).
[Dosage and Administration]
For the treatment of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, take 15-30 mg orally once daily in the morning, or as directed by a physician.
[Adverse Reactions]
Side effects are mild, primarily manifesting as dry mouth, dizziness, and nausea.

Prevent use in pregnant and lactating women.

No experience with pediatric use.

[Pharmacological Action]
This is a new drug that inhibits gastric acid secretion. It acts on the H+-K+-ATPase enzyme in gastric parietal cells, preventing H+ from being transported into the stomach, significantly reducing the amount of gastric acid in gastric juice. It is clinically used to treat duodenal ulcers, gastric ulcers, reflux esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (gastrinoma). It has significant efficacy and is effective against Helicobacter pylori.
