[Indications]
Epristeride tablets are suitable for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia and improvement of symptoms related to benign prostatic hyperplasia.
[Usage and Dosage]
Oral, 1 tablet (5 mg) each time, once in the morning and evening, before or after meals, for a course of 4 months or as directed by a doctor.
[Adverse reactions]
Nausea, loss of appetite, abdominal distension, diarrhea, dry mouth, dizziness, insomnia, general fatigue, rash, decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, decreased ejaculation volume, tinnitus, ear plugs, hip pain, etc. can be seen, with an incidence of about 6.63%. In the Phase IV clinical study of this product, the incidence of laboratory abnormalities was 2.49%, including abnormal liver function (increased aminotransferase, increased total bilirubin), abnormal renal function (increased urea nitrogen, increased creatinine), abnormal blood routine (decreased hemoglobin, decreased white blood cells, decreased platelets), among which the relationship between abnormal renal function and blood routine and this product has not yet been determined.

Epristeramide is a new type of anti-competitive 5'alpha reductase inhibitor. It can form a ternary complex with 5'alpha reductase and NADF+, inhibiting the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone and reducing the water content of dihydrotestosterone in the prostate, leading to atrophy of the hyperplastic prostate, and achieving the purpose of treating prostate hyperplasia.
