[Indications/Main Functions]
Felodipine extended-release tablets are used for hypertension and can be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive medications.

[Dosage and Administration]
Oral: Initial dose: 5mg once daily. The dose can be reduced to 2.5mg or increased to 10mg daily based on patient response. Dose adjustments should generally be made at least every two weeks. The recommended dose range is 2.5-10mg daily.

[Adverse Reactions]
1. Common adverse reactions following administration of this product include peripheral edema, which typically occurs 2-3 weeks after administration and is related to age and dose, headache, and facial flushing. Peripheral edema is usually mild and related to age and dosage. Fatigue, fever, palpitations, nausea, indigestion, constipation, dizziness, paresthesia, upper respiratory tract infection, cough, runny nose, sneezing, rash, and gingival hyperplasia may also be seen. 2. Adverse reactions with a low incidence or uncertain relationship with this product include: Systemic: chest pain, facial edema, flu-like symptoms; Cardiovascular: myocardial infarction, hypotension, syncope, angina pectoris, arrhythmia, tachycardia, premature beats; Gastrointestinal: abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, dry mouth, flatulence, acid reflux; Endocrine: male breast development; Blood: anemia; Metabolism: increased ALT (SGPT); Skeletal muscle: joint pain, back pain, leg pain, foot pain, muscle cramps, myalgia, arm pain , knee pain, hip pain; Psychoneural system: insomnia, depression, anxiety disorders, irritability, nervousness, lethargy, decreased libido; Respiratory system: dyspnea, pharyngitis, bronchitis, influenza, sinusitis, epistaxis, respiratory tract infection; Skin: contusions, erythema, urticaria; Special senses: visual impairment; Urogenital system: impotence, frequent urination, urgency, dysuria, polyuria; 3. [Contraindications]
Felodipine extended-release tablets are contraindicated in patients with allergies to felodipine. They are contraindicated in patients with acute myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and uncompensated heart failure.

[Drug Interactions]
This drug is well tolerated when used in combination with beta-blockers, but there are reports that co-administration with metoprolol may increase the area under the concentration curve (AUC) and peak concentration (Cmax) of metoprolol by 31% and 38%, respectively.

[Precautions]
This product can cause severe hypotension and syncope, produce reflex tachycardia, and may cause angina pectoris in susceptible individuals. Patients with hypotension should use felodipine extended-release tablets with caution.
