This product is a sodium bisulfite adduct containing the main active ingredient of Houttuynia cordata (Houttuynia cordata) from the genus Houttuynia. It has only a weak antibacterial effect against bacteria, but exhibits some inhibitory activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Haemophilus influenzae, and Candida albicans. It may increase serum properdin levels and enhance leukocyte phagocytosis.
