Product Overview

[Drug Name]
Generic Name: Compound Glycyrrhizin Tablets
Trade Name: PaiGanNeng Compound Glycyrrhizin Tablets (36 Tablets)
Pinyin Code: PaiGanNeng FuFangGanCaoSuanZuoPian (36 Tablets)

[Main Ingredients]
This product is a compound preparation containing: glycyrrhizin 25mg, glycine 25mg, and methionine 25mg per tablet.

[Properties]
This product is a white film-coated tablet. After removing the coating, the tablet core is off-white to pale yellow.

[Indications/Main Functions]
Treats chronic liver disease and improves liver function abnormalities. Can be used to treat eczema, dermatitis, and alopecia areata.

[Specifications]
36 tablets

[Dosage and Administration]
Adults: 2-3 tablets at a time; children: 1 tablet at a time, 3 times daily, orally after meals. The dosage may be increased or decreased based on age and symptoms.

[Adverse Reactions]
The actual frequency of adverse reactions associated with the use of this product has not been investigated. Significant Adverse Reactions: Pseudoaldosteronism (frequency unknown): Symptoms of pseudoaldosteronism, such as hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, sodium and fluid retention, edema, decreased urine volume, and weight gain, may occur. Therefore, during medication, carefully monitor serum potassium levels and discontinue medication if abnormalities are detected. Symptoms of rhabdomyolysis, such as weakness, muscle weakness, muscle pain, limb cramps, and paralysis, may also occur. If elevated CK (CPK) levels or myoglobin levels are detected in the blood or urine, discontinue the medication and administer appropriate treatment.

[Contraindications]
(This medication should not be used in the following patients): 1. Patients with aldosteronism, myopathy, or hypokalemia (it may worsen hypokalemia and hypertension). 2. Patients with advanced liver cirrhosis who are prone to elevated blood ammonia levels (methionine metabolites in this preparation can inhibit urea synthesis, thereby reducing ammonia processing capacity).

[Precautions]
1. Use with caution in elderly patients (elderly patients have a higher incidence of hypokalemia) (see medication for elderly patients). 2. General Precautions: Because this preparation contains glycyrrhizin, concomitant use with other licorice-containing preparations can increase glycyrrhizin levels in the body and increase the risk of pseudoaldosteronism, so caution should be exercised.
