[Properties]
This product is a white crystalline powder with a sweet taste and is easily soluble in water.
[Indications]
It is used for respiratory tract infections caused by pathogens sensitive to this product, lower urinary tract infections such as cystitis, urethritis, and intestinal infections, as well as skin and soft tissue infections.
[Dosage and Administration]
Oral: Take a single dose once daily on an empty stomach. Adults: 6g (equivalent to 3g of fosfomycin) dissolved in appropriate amount of water or as directed by a physician.
[Adverse Reactions]
Mainly diarrhea and loose stools, occasionally rash and nausea, which disappear upon discontinuation of the drug. Allergic reactions may occur occasionally.
[Contraindications]
This product is contraindicated in patients with allergies.
[Precautions]
1. Use with caution in patients with liver disease. 2. For severe infections, it is often used in combination with other antibacterial drugs. 3. Liver function should be monitored when using higher doses.

[Drug Interactions]
1. Cimetidine and metronidazole may affect the absorption of this drug; concomitant use should be avoided. 2. β-lactams and aminoglycosides have synergistic effects with this drug.
[Pharmacological Action]
This drug is an antibiotic, the tromethamine salt of fosfomycin. Its antibacterial activity in vivo is generated by fosfomycin. This drug directly inhibits the action of pyruvate transferase, which is essential for bacterial cell wall synthesis. It has inhibitory effects on both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and its antibacterial spectrum includes Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteriae, Proteus, Serratia marcescens, Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
