[Appearance]
White or off-white tablets.
[Indications]
Indicated for the relief of wheezing symptoms in bronchial asthma, asthmatic bronchitis, obstructive pulmonary emphysema, and other conditions; also used for asthma caused by cardiogenic pulmonary edema.
[Dosage and Administration]
Oral. Adults: 1 tablet 3 times daily after meals or as directed by a physician.

[Contraindications]
1. Contraindicated in patients with allergies to this product, active peptic ulcers, and uncontrolled convulsive disorders.
2. Use with caution in patients over 55 years of age.
3. Plasma clearance may be reduced in neonates, and serum concentrations may be increased; use with caution. Children over 12 years of age should follow a physician's advice.
4. Use with caution in pregnant, postpartum, and lactating women.
[Precautions]
1. Like other theophylline sustained-release preparations, this product is not suitable for patients with status asthmaticus or acute bronchospasm.
2. Serum theophylline concentrations should be monitored regularly to ensure maximum efficacy without the risk of excessive blood concentrations.
3. In patients with renal or hepatic impairment, those taking certain medications, and those with reduced theophylline clearance, serum theophylline concentrations often remain significantly prolonged after discontinuation of concomitant medications. Dosage adjustments or extended dosing intervals should be made as appropriate.
4. Theophylline preparations may cause arrhythmias or worsen existing arrhythmias; any changes in the patient's heart rate or rhythm should be monitored and investigated.
5. This product should be used with caution in patients with hypoxemia, hypertension, or a history of peptic ulcers.
