Pharmacological Action: This product selectively relaxes biliary smooth muscle and directly inhibits the sphincter of Oddi, thereby relaxing the biliary sphincter and reducing resistance at the confluence of the common bile duct and duodenum. It also reduces pressure within the gallbladder and bile duct, promoting bile and pancreatic juice secretion, improving appetite, and alleviating abdominal distension. It also has antispasmodic, analgesic, and choleretic effects.
