[Indications/Main Functions]
Essential Hypertension: Carvedilol is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension. It can be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive drugs, particularly thiazide diuretics. Treatment of Symptomatic Congestive Heart Failure: Carvedilol is used to treat symptomatic congestive heart failure, reducing mortality and hospitalization rates for cardiovascular events, improving the patient's general condition, and slowing disease progression. Carvedilol can be used as an add-on to standard therapy and can also be used in patients who are intolerant to ACE inhibitors or who are not receiving digitalis, hydralazine, or nitrates.

[Dosage and Administration]
Essential Hypertension: The recommended initial dose is 10mg once daily for the first two days. The typical adult dose is 10mg-20mg orally once daily. The dose may be increased or decreased as needed based on age and symptoms. The total daily dose can be up to 50mg, taken once daily or in two divided doses. Symptomatic Congestive Heart Failure: This product should be used by patients with chronic heart failure under the guidance of a physician experienced in the treatment of this condition.
