English Name: Nicergoline Tablets
Chinese Pinyin: Nimaijiaolin Pian

[Ingredients]
The main ingredient of this product is nicergoline, chemically known as 10-alpha-methoxy-1,6-dimethylergoline-8-beta-carbinol-5-bromonicotinate. Molecular Formula: C₂₄H₂₆O₃N₃Br
Molecular Weight: 484.392

[Properties]
This product is available as a 10mg white film-coated tablet and a 30mg yellow film-coated tablet. The tablets appear white after removal of the film coating.

[Indications]
1. Improves low motivation and affective disorders (slowed reaction time, poor concentration, memory loss, lack of motivation, depression, anxiety, etc.) caused by cerebral arteriosclerosis and sequelae of stroke. 2. Acute and chronic peripheral circulatory disorders (limb vascular occlusive disease, Raynaud's syndrome, and other symptoms of peripheral circulatory impairment). It is also indicated for vascular dementia, particularly in the early stages of treatment, with improvements in cognition and memory, and reduced disease severity.

[Dosage and Administration]
Oral administration, do not chew. 20-60 mg daily, divided into 2-3 doses. Continue administration for a sufficient period of at least six months; continued use is at the discretion of the physician.

[Adverse Reactions]
No serious adverse reactions have been reported. Hypotension, dizziness, stomach pain, hot flashes, facial flushing, drowsiness, and insomnia may occur. In clinical trials, elevated blood uric acid concentrations were observed, but this phenomenon was not correlated with dose or duration of administration.

[Contraindications]
This product is not indicated in the following situations: recent myocardial infarction, acute hemorrhage, severe bradycardia, orthostatic dysregulation, bleeding tendency, and hypersensitivity to nicergoline.

[Precautions]
This product should be used under the guidance of a physician. Generally, this product has no effect on blood pressure at therapeutic doses, but may gradually lower blood pressure in sensitive patients. Use with caution in patients with hyperuricemia or a history of gout. The dosage should be reduced for patients with renal insufficiency. This medication is generally not recommended for pregnant women; if necessary, consider the risks and benefits. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication. Keep out of reach of children.

[Use in Special Populations]
Precautions for Children:
Based on the current indication, this medication is not for use in children.

Precautions for Pregnancy and Lactation:
Toxicity studies have failed to demonstrate teratogenicity with nicergoline. Based on the indication, this medication is not for use in pregnant or lactating women.

Precautions for Elderly Patients:
Pharmacokinetic and tolerability studies have shown no difference in dosage and administration between adults and the elderly.

[Drug Interactions]
Nicergoline tablets may enhance the effects of antihypertensive drugs. Because nicergoline is metabolized via CYTP450 2D6, interactions with drugs that share the same metabolic pathway cannot be ruled out.

[Pharmacological Actions]
This product is a semi-synthetic ergot alkaloid derivative. It exhibits α-receptor blocking and vasodilatory properties. It may enhance brain cell energy metabolism and increase oxygen and glucose utilization. Promotes the conversion of the neurotransmitter dopamine, increasing nerve conduction, enhancing brain protein synthesis, and improving brain function.

[Storage]
