[Ingredients]
Gentamicin sulfate, procaine hydrochloride, vitamin B12.
[Properties]
This product is a capsule containing a light pink powder or granules.
[Indications]
Anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and gastric mucosal repair. It is primarily used for chronic, superficial gastritis, but can also be used for other gastritis.
[Dosage and Administration]
Take two capsules three times daily before meals.
[Adverse Reactions]
1. A small number of patients may experience loss of appetite and nausea.
2. Occasionally, hearing loss, tinnitus, dizziness, renal impairment, and oliguria may occur.
3. Occasionally, allergic reactions such as rash and urticaria may occur. 4. Occasionally, methemoglobinemia may cause hypoxia.
[Contraindications]
Use in patients allergic to gentamicin sulfate or other aminoglycoside antibiotics, such as procaine.
[Precautions]
1. This product should be used under a physician's supervision and is not recommended for long-term use.
2. Patients with obvious warning symptoms, such as weight loss, anemia, or positive stool for occult blood, should promptly seek medical attention for a detailed examination.
3. Use with caution in patients with dehydration, 8th cranial nerve damage, myasthenia gravis or Parkinson's disease, or renal impairment.
4. Patients allergic to other aminoglycoside antibiotics, such as streptomycin and amikacin, may also be allergic to this product.
5. Bacteria resistant to other aminoglycoside antibiotics, such as tobramycin and sisomicin, may also be allergic to this product.
6. Patients with chronic intestinal infections who take this product long-term or in high doses should be aware of the possibility of nephrotoxicity or ototoxicity.
7. Regular urinalysis, renal function tests, and hearing tests or electroaudiometry should be performed with long-term or high-dose use of this product.
8. Long-term use of this product may cause intestinal flora disturbances.
9. This product has a local analgesic effect and may mask gastric cancer symptoms.
[Use in Special Populations]
Precautions for Children:
Due to the potential for ototoxicity and nephrotoxicity, this product should be used with caution in children.
Precautions for Pregnancy and Lactation:
Because some absorbed portions of this product can cross the placenta and enter the fetal circulation, pregnant women should use this product with caution. Breastfeeding women should suspend breastfeeding during medication use.
Precautions for Elderly:
Elderly patients have a certain degree of physiological decline in renal function. Even if renal function values are within the normal range, a lower therapeutic dose should be used.
[Drug Interactions]
1. This product may increase ototoxicity when used in combination with other ototoxic drugs, or when used sequentially.
2. This product may increase nephrotoxicity when used in combination with capreomycin, amphotericin B, cisplatin, ethacrynic acid, furosemide, ceftriaxone, or vinblastine, or when used sequentially.
3. This product may weaken the efficacy of sulfonamides and enhance the effects of digitalis.
[Pharmacological Action]
Gentamicin in this product is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits Helicobacter pylori. It exerts a local bactericidal effect in the stomach for a prolonged period. Procaine has a super-blocking effect on nerve endings on the damaged mucosal surface, blocking stimulation of the central nervous system by the lesions, thereby rapidly relieving pain. Vitamin B12 is essential for the formation of normal epithelial cells in the digestive tract.
