[Pharmacological Actions]
This product is a gastric mucosal protective agent. It strengthens the intercellular bonds of gastric mucosal epithelial cells, inhibits epithelial cell desquamation and shedding, and widens intercellular spaces, thereby enhancing the stability of the mucosal cells themselves. This protects the mucosa and inhibits the permeation of harmful substances through the mucosa. Its mechanism of action is related to increasing the levels of cAMP, prostaglandins, reduced glutathione, and mucus glycoproteins in gastric mucosal cells. Experimental studies have shown that this product can inhibit hydrochloric acid- and ethanol-induced gastric mucosal cell damage and increase gastric mucosal blood flow. The effect is dose-dependent.
