[Dosage and Administration]
Oral. Adults: 1-2 tablets three times daily.
[Adverse Reactions]
Immune System Disorders: Rare: Hypersensitivity reactions; Unknown: Hypersensitivity reactions including anaphylactic shock, angioedema, and pruritus; Skin and Subcutaneous Tissue Disorders: Rare: Rash, urticaria; Unknown: Severe skin reactions (including erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome/toxic epidermal necrolysis, and acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis); Respiratory, Thoracic, and Mediastinal Disorders: Rare: Bronchospasm; Unknown: Dyspnea (as a symptom of an allergic reaction); Gastrointestinal Disorders: Rare: Nausea, abdominal pain, especially epigastric pain, vomiting, diarrhea; May cause transient elevations in serum transaminases. Systemic Disorders and Administration Site Conditions: Rare: Fever. If the first signs of an allergic reaction occur, do not take this drug again. In such cases, contact your nearest doctor.
[Contraindications]
This drug is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to bromhexine hydrochloride or any of the other components of this drug.
[Precautions]
1. This drug should be used with caution in patients with bronchial obstruction and excessive secretions (e.g., the rare malignant ciliary syndrome), as it may cause obstruction of secretions.
2. This product should be used with caution in patients with impaired renal function or severe liver disease (dosing intervals may be increased or the dosage may be reduced). Patients with hepatic impairment should use this product under the guidance of a physician.
3. In cases of severe renal impairment, accumulation of bromhexine metabolites in the liver may occur. Regular monitoring of liver function is recommended, especially with long-term treatment.
4. This product contains lactose. Patients with rare hereditary conditions such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not use this product.
5. This product is irritating to the gastrointestinal mucosa and should be used with caution in patients with gastritis or gastric ulcers.
6. Use with caution in patients with allergies.
7. This product should only be used during pregnancy if the benefits outweigh the risks. It is not recommended during early pregnancy or during breastfeeding.
8. This product should not be used if its properties change.
