[Properties]
This product is a film-coated tablet. After removing the film coating, it appears white or off-white.
[Indications]
For chronic functional constipation.
[Dosage and Administration]
Oral. Adults: 1-3 tablets per day. Take a high dose before the first bowel movement and a lower dose during the maintenance phase. The effect will take effect after 1-3 days.
[Adverse Reactions]
Some patients may experience abdominal distension, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, nausea, diarrhea, anal pain, dry mouth, insomnia, headache, and rash.
[Contraindications]
1. Do not use in patients with ongoing abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or intestinal obstruction. 2. Do not use in patients with hypersensitivity to docusate sodium or any of the ingredients in this product.
[Precautions]
1. Before using any laxative, rule out any underlying medical abnormalities. 2. If you require daily laxatives or experience persistent abdominal pain, consult your physician or pharmacist for details. 3. Unless directed by a physician, continuous use of this product is not recommended for more than one week. 4. If this product is ineffective or blood in the stool occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician immediately. 5. This product is mild and slow to work, taking 1-3 days to be effective. It is not suitable for patients undergoing colonoscopy for intestinal cleansing or those who require immediate laxative relief. 6. This product is rarely absorbed after oral administration and is excreted with the intestinal contents. Therefore, it may affect wound healing in patients undergoing anal canal surgery.
