[Drug Interactions]
To avoid potential interactions between different medications, you must inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other treatments you are taking.

[Pharmacological Actions]
Antianginal drugs. They have antagonistic effects on adrenaline, norepinephrine, and vasopressin, reducing vascular resistance, increasing coronary and circulatory blood flow, and promoting myocardial metabolism and energy production. They also reduce myocardial oxygen consumption, thereby improving the balance between myocardial oxygen supply and demand. They also increase tolerance to cardiac glycosides. Controlled trials in patients with angina have shown: 1. This drug increases exercise test tolerance, delays exercise-induced myocardial ischemia, and reduces ischemia starting on day 15 of treatment without causing hemodynamic changes. 2. It limits rapid blood pressure fluctuations without causing significant changes in heart rate, significantly reducing the frequency of angina attacks. 3. It significantly reduces the need for nitroglycerin. Trimetazidine mechanism of action: The effect on ischemic myocardium may be direct cytoprotection. By preserving energy metabolism within ischemic cells and preventing a decrease in intracellular ATP levels, it maintains a stable intracellular environment while ensuring the proper function of ion pumps and the normal transmembrane sodium-potassium pump transport. This reduces intracellular acidosis and prevents the accumulation of sodium and calcium within myocardial cells, protecting cell contractility and limiting cell lysis and endothelial damage caused by oxygen free radicals.
