[Properties]
This product is a capsule.
[Indications]
This product is indicated for the treatment of peptic ulcers, particularly Helicobacter pylori-associated ulcers. It is also used for chronic colitis, diarrhea caused by ulcerative colitis, and chronic superficial and atrophic gastritis.
[Dosage and Administration]
Oral. 165 mg four times daily, one hour before each of the three meals and at bedtime.
[Adverse Reactions]
Nausea, constipation, and other gastrointestinal symptoms may occur occasionally.
[Contraindications]
This product is contraindicated in patients with allergies or renal insufficiency.
[Precautions]
1. Dark brown, dull stools during medication are normal if there are no other discomforts. Stool color may return to normal 1-2 days after discontinuation of medication. 2. This product should not be taken in high doses for long periods of time. It is contraindicated for pregnant women. Lactating women should discontinue breastfeeding when taking this product.

[Drug Interactions]
This product should not be taken with antacids, milk, or H2 receptor blockers, as this may reduce its efficacy.
[Pharmacological Actions]
This product is a gastrointestinal mucosal protective agent. After oral administration, it forms a highly colloidal sol in gastric fluid. It has a strong affinity for ulcers and inflamed surfaces, forming an effective protective film that isolates gastric acid, protects damaged mucosa, and stimulates mucus secretion by gastrointestinal epithelial cells, promoting their own repair. This product has excellent adhesion to damaged mucosa and has a hemostatic effect. This product can also kill Helicobacter pylori. Animal studies have shown that this product can reduce the number of ulcers and ulcer diameter in rabbits with experimental ulcerative colitis, and reduce the frequency and looseness of bowel movements in rabbits and rats with experimental ulcerative colitis.
