Product Overview

[Drug Name]
Generic Name: Isosorbide Mononitrate Tablets
Trade Name: Yongxin Litong Isosorbide Mononitrate Tablets 20mg x 60 Tablets

[Main Ingredient]
The main ingredient of this product is isosorbide mononitrate. Chemical Name: 1,4:3,6-dianhydro-D-sorbitol-5-mononitrate. Molecular Formula: C6H9NO6. Molecular Weight: 191.14

[Properties]
This product is a white tablet.

[Indications/Main Functions]
Long-term treatment of coronary heart disease; prevention of angina pectoris; treatment of persistent angina pectoris after myocardial infarction; combined with digitalis and/or diuretics for the treatment of chronic congestive heart failure.

[Specifications]
20mg x 60 tablets

[Dosage and Administration]
Oral. 20mg twice daily, or as directed by a physician.

[Adverse Reactions]
A common adverse reaction is headache (>10% of patients), which usually disappears with continued use. Hypotension and/or dizziness (1-10%) may occur during initial treatment or when the dose is increased, accompanied by vertigo, drowsiness, reflex tachycardia, and fatigue. Occasionally (<1%), nausea, vomiting, facial flushing, and skin irritation (such as rash) may occur, sometimes with severity. Exfoliative dermatitis has been reported rarely. Severe hypotensive reactions to organic nitrates have been reported, including nausea, vomiting, restlessness, pallor, and sweating. Collapse (sometimes accompanied by arrhythmias and syncope) has been reported rarely. Severe hypotension exacerbating angina pectoris is also rare. During treatment with this medication, transient hypoxemia may occur due to redistribution of blood to hypoventilated alveolar areas. A few cases of stomach pain may be attributed to the sphincter relaxation effect of nitrates.

[Contraindications]
This product is contraindicated in the following conditions: hypersensitivity to isosorbide mononitrate or any of its components; acute circulatory failure (shock, collapse); cardiogenic shock (unless appropriate measures are taken to maintain adequate end-diastolic pressure); hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, constrictive pericarditis, or cardiac tamponade; severe hypotension (systolic blood pressure below 90 mmHg); increased intracranial pressure; glaucoma; sildenafil should not be used during treatment with nitrates.

[Precautions]
1. This product is not suitable for the treatment of acute angina pectoris. 2. Use this product with extreme caution and under the guidance of a physician in the following conditions: patients with low filling pressures, such as acute myocardial infarction or left ventricular failure; patients with aortic and/or mitral valve stenosis; diseases associated with increased intracranial pressure; orthostatic hypotension. 3. A small number of patients may experience idiosyncratic reactions to nitrates, such as syncope. 4. Patients with severe multiple sclerosis should use this product with extreme caution. 5. Long-term use may lead to tolerance, especially when isosorbide mononitrate blood concentrations are high and stable. Therefore, it is recommended to maintain the lowest dose possible, and take the last dose of the day no later than dinner time. 6. Avoid alcohol during treatment, as this may enhance the vasodilatory effects of this drug. 7. This drug may affect the patient's reaction time while driving or operating machinery. 8. Do not take sildenafil while using this drug.
