[Properties]
This product is an enteric-coated hard capsule containing a pale yellow powder or granules.
[Indications]
This product is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic hepatitis associated with elevated alanine aminotransferase.
[Dosage and Administration]
Oral administration: 150 mg (3 tablets at a time), 3 times daily.
[Adverse Reactions]
Main symptoms include sodium deficit, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, pruritus, urticaria, dry mouth, and edema. Cardiovascular symptoms include headache, dizziness, chest tightness, palpitations, and elevated blood pressure. These symptoms are generally mild and do not require discontinuation.
[Contraindications]
This product is contraindicated in patients with allergies; patients with severe hypokalemia, hypernatremia, hypertension, heart failure, or renal failure.
[Precautions]
Blood pressure and serum potassium and sodium concentrations should be measured regularly during treatment. If hypertension, sodium retention, or hypokalemia develop, the drug should be discontinued or the dosage reduced appropriately.

Precautions for Pediatrics: The dosage and adverse reactions for neonates and infants have not yet been determined; it is not currently used.
Precautions for Pregnancy and Lactation: This product should not be used by pregnant women.

[Pharmacological Actions]
This product is a third-generation extract of the active ingredient from the traditional Chinese medicine licorice. It exhibits potent anti-inflammatory, hepatocyte membrane-protecting, and liver function-improving effects. Its chemical structure is similar to the steroid ring of aldosterone, inhibiting the inactivation of cortisone and aldosterone, thereby exerting steroid-like effects without the adverse effects of corticosteroids.
