【Ingredients】
Tranilast.
【Appearance】
Capsules. Contains a pale yellow powder; odorless and tasteless.
【Indications】
This product is an anti-allergic drug, which can be used for the preventive treatment of bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis.
【Dosage and Administration】
Oral administration. Usually, adults take 1 capsule (0.1g) three times a day; children take 5mg/kg daily, divided into 3 doses. Used in combination with other bronchodilators during asthma attacks, or as directed by a physician.
【Adverse Reactions】
1. Liver: Occasionally, abnormal liver function may occur. Close observation is necessary, and appropriate measures such as dose reduction or discontinuation of the drug may be taken.
2. Gastrointestinal: Sometimes loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, constipation, diarrhea, and stomach discomfort may occur; occasionally, indigestion may occur.
3. Blood: A decrease in red blood cell count and hemoglobin level may occur.
4. Nervous system: Symptoms include headache, drowsiness, occasional heaviness in the head, insomnia, dizziness, and general fatigue.
5. Allergic reactions: Skin rash, occasionally generalized itching, etc. Discontinue use if this occurs.
6. Urinary system: Occasionally bladder irritation symptoms may occur; discontinue use if this occurs.
7. Other: Occasionally palpitations, edema, facial flushing, nosebleeds, stomatitis, etc.
【Contraindications】
1. Contraindicated in pregnant women.
2. Contraindicated in patients allergic to any component of this product.
【Precautions】
1. This product can block the path of allergic reactions. Taking it starting half a month before the peak asthma season can have a preventative effect.
2. This product differs from bronchodilators and corticosteroids; it does not have a rapid effect on existing asthma symptoms.
3. This product can be used concurrently with other bronchodilators, using it as a base prescription medication and taking it regularly.
4. When using this product in patients with steroid dependence, the steroid dosage should be gradually reduced; do not discontinue use abruptly.
5. Use with caution in patients with abnormal liver or kidney function.

Pregnancy and Lactation Precautions:
1. Contraindicated in pregnant women (especially within the first 3 months) and women who may become pregnant.
2. Breastfeeding women should avoid breastfeeding while taking this medication.

【Drug Interactions】
When used concurrently with or discontinued with the anticoagulant warfarin, it may enhance or weaken its effects and decrease or increase thrombosis test values. Therefore, changes in coagulation function should be closely monitored during concurrent use or discontinuation in clinical practice.
【Pharmacological Actions】
It has a stabilizing effect on the cell membranes of mast cells and basophils, preventing degranulation and thus inhibiting the release of histamine and serotonin, substances that trigger allergic reactions. It has a significant inhibitory effect on skin allergic reactions and experimental asthma induced by 1gE antibody in rats.
