【Ingredients】

【Indications】
Mainly used to improve symptoms and signs of age-related mental decline, functional impairment after acute and chronic cerebrovascular diseases, and symptoms of intellectual decline.
【Dosage and Administration】
Oral administration. Take 1-2 mg once, 3-6 mg daily, before meals. Treatment duration should follow the doctor's instructions.
【Adverse Reactions】
Occasionally, nasal congestion, transient nausea, and stomach discomfort may occur, but these can usually be prevented by taking the medication with food. Most cases do not require special measures, and the side effects disappear on their own. Dosage adjustment may be necessary if needed.

【Pharmacological Action】
Animal studies have shown that dihydroergotamine mesylate alters neurotransmission in the brain. Data indicates that it has excitatory effects on dopamine and serotonin receptors and a blocking effect on α-adrenergic receptors. It improves impaired brain metabolic function and shortens cerebral circulation time; this effect is reflected in changes in brain electrical activity, with significant changes in the power spectrum of electroencephalography (EEG).
