【Ingredients】

【Appearance】
This product is a colorless, clear solution.
【Indications】
This product is used for vitiligo and psoriasis.
【Dosage and Administration】
Dosage and Administration: Initially, take 1 tablet/day, gradually increasing to 2-4 tablets/day. Expose to sunlight or long-wave ultraviolet light (320-380nm UVA) 2-3 hours after taking the medication. Initially, the exposure time is 10-15 minutes, then increase by 5 minutes each time according to skin tolerance, up to half an hour, but not exceeding 1 hour.
Treatment Course: The irradiation time is selected as 2-4 weeks, depending on the indication. Treatment is administered 2-3 times per week, with a consolidation treatment period of once per week, for half an hour or the same duration as the previous treatment.
Treatment of psoriasis typically requires 15-25 treatments.
Combined oral and topical application yields better results (see the Minbaining Liniment instructions for topical application).
【Adverse Reactions】
1. Excessive or prolonged ultraviolet radiation may cause erythema, vesicles, bullae, pain, and desquamation at the application site; these symptoms resolve upon discontinuation of the medication.
2. Some patients may experience skin itching after treatment, which can be relieved by taking antihistamines.
3. Some patients may develop hyperpigmentation on or around the treatment site; this resolves upon discontinuation of the medication.
【Contraindications】
1. Patients with lupus erythematosus, erythropoietic porphyria, xeroderma pigmentosum, and other photosensitivity disorders.
2. Patients with a history of skin cancer.
3. Patients who have previously used arsenic-containing drugs or received radiation therapy.
4. Patients with aphakia (due to the lack of a lens, the risk of retinal damage is significantly increased).
5. Patients with a specific reaction or history of allergy to psoralen.
6. Patients with melanoma or a history of melanoma.
【Precautions】
1. This drug is a potent photosensitizer and should only be used under the guidance of a physician.
2. After irradiation treatment, the affected area should be cleaned and covered to avoid excessive sunlight or ultraviolet radiation and prevent the risk of burns.
3. If prolonged or repeated irradiation causes skin aging, deep red skin, or blisters, discontinue use for several days until the symptoms disappear.
4. When treating near the eyes, avoid getting the solution into the eyes and wear an eye shield or sunglasses that completely block ultraviolet rays during the day to prevent lens damage and cataracts.
5. Young women are advised to use effective contraception during treatment.
6. Keep out of reach of children.
【Special Populations】
Children's Precautions: Contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.
Pregnancy and Lactation Precautions: Contraindicated in pregnant and lactating women.
Elderly Precautions: Contraindicated in elderly or frail patients.
【Drug Interactions】
Avoid concurrent use with drugs or foods that may have potential photosensitizing properties. [Pharmacological Action] This product (8-methoxypsoralen) is a photosensitizer extracted from the seeds of the Nile River plant *Amaranthus macrocarpa*. It has photodynamic effects, sensitizing the skin to sunlight or artificial ultraviolet radiation. Its action spectrum is between 320 and 380 nm, with the greatest effect at 365 nm. - Toxicological Characteristics: Animal studies have shown that methoxysoralen has no teratogenic effects. Small-scale human clinical trial data also did not show teratogenic effects.
