【Ingredients】
The main ingredient of this product is levocetirizine hydrochloride, its chemical name is (R)-(-)-2-[2-(4-(4-chlorophenyl)benzyl)-1-piperazinyl)ethoxy]acetic acid dihydrochloride.
【Appearance】
This product is a film-coated tablet, white or off-white after removing the coating.
【Indications】
Treatment of allergy-related symptoms of the following diseases, such as seasonal allergic rhinitis, perennial allergic rhinitis, and chronic idiopathic urticaria.
【Dosage and Administration】
Adults or children aged 6 years and above: Take one tablet (5mg) orally daily, on an empty stomach, with or after a meal.
【Adverse Reactions】
This product may cause adverse reactions such as headache, drowsiness, dry mouth, fatigue, weakness, and abdominal pain in some patients.
【Contraindications】
1. Contraindicated in patients with end-stage renal disease and a creatinine clearance rate <10 ml/min.
2. Contraindicated in patients with specific genetic disorders (rare galactose intolerance, primary intestinal lactase deficiency, or glucose-lactose malabsorption).
【Precautions】
1. This product is not recommended for children under 6 years of age, as the currently available film-coated tablets do not allow for dose adjustment.
2. Although there is currently no research data, concomitant use of levocetirizine with alcohol or central nervous system depressants may affect the central nervous system in some sensitive patients.
3. Effects on driving and operating machinery: Controlled clinical trials have demonstrated that levocetirizine at the recommended dose does not impair alertness, reaction time, or driving ability. If the patient needs to drive, engage in potentially hazardous activities, or operate machinery, do not overdose and consider their reaction to this product; concomitant use with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants may lead to decreased alertness and impaired operational ability.
【Special Populations】
Children's Precautions: The safety of this product in children under 2 years of age has not been established.
Pregnancy and Lactation Precautions: This product is contraindicated in pregnant and lactating women.
Elderly Precautions: Elderly individuals generally experience a decline in physiological function and should use this product with caution.
【Drug Interactions】
There is no data on the interaction between levocetirizine and other drugs, and no reports of interactions between cetirizine and other drugs have been published to date.
【Pharmacological Action】
This product is an oral selective histamine H1 receptor antagonist. It has no significant anticholinergic or anti-serotonin effects and minimal central nervous system depressant effects.
