【Main Ingredients】

This product can restore the balance between excitation and inhibition processes in the cerebral cortex, exhibiting central inhibitory effects such as sedation, hypnosis, and analgesia. It also increases cerebral blood flow and relieves cerebral vasospasm.
【Pharmacokinetics】
After oral administration of Gastrodin to mice, it disappears rapidly from the gastrointestinal tract, with only 5.2% of the dose remaining after 2 hours. Blood levels rise rapidly, with a t1/2α of only 6 minutes, maintaining a high level for about 1 hour, consistent with the sedation time in mice. The elimination half-life is 4.44 hours for intravenous injection and 7.47 hours for oral administration. The highest concentration of this drug is found in the kidneys, followed by the liver, lungs, heart, spleen, and brain. It is primarily excreted in the urine; after gavage, 76.8% of the administered dose is excreted in urine, feces, and bile within 24 hours, with 97% excreted in the urine, mainly in the first 2 hours. Excretion in bile and feces is minimal.
