【Appearance】
This product is a white tablet.
【Indications】
Used for Parkinson's disease, Parkinson's syndrome, drug-induced extrapyramidal disorders, Parkinson's syndrome after carbon monoxide poisoning, and Parkinson's syndrome in the elderly complicated with cerebral arteriosclerosis. Also used for the prevention and treatment of respiratory infections caused by influenza A virus.
【Dosage and Administration】
Oral administration. For Parkinson's disease and Parkinson's syndrome, 100mg once or twice a day, with a maximum daily dose of 400mg. For antiviral purposes, adults should take 200 mg once daily or 100 mg every 12 hours. Children aged 1-9 years should take 1.5-3 mg/kg every 8 hours or 2.2-4.4 mg/kg every 12 hours. Children aged 9-12 years should take 100 mg orally every 12 hours. Children aged 12 years and older should take the same dosage as adults.
【Adverse Reactions】
Dizziness, insomnia, and nervousness; nausea, vomiting, anorexia, dry mouth, and constipation. Occasionally, depression, anxiety, hallucinations, confusion, ataxia, and headache may occur; seizures are rare. Leukopenia and neutropenia are uncommon.
【Contraindications】
Patients with known hypersensitivity to this product.
【Precautions】
Use under close monitoring in the following situations: patients with a history of epilepsy, confusion, hallucinations, congestive heart failure, renal insufficiency, peripheral angioedema, or orthostatic hypotension. This drug should not be discontinued abruptly when treating Parkinson's disease. Driving, operating machinery, and working at heights are not recommended during medication. The last dose of medication each day should be taken before 4 PM to avoid insomnia.
【Special Populations】
Children's Precautions: Contraindicated in newborns and infants under 1 year old.
Pregnancy and Lactation Precautions:
1. This product can cross the placenta. Animal experiments have shown that a daily dose of 50 mg/kg in rats (12 times the usual human dose) is toxic to the embryo and can cause birth defects. Pregnant women should use with caution.
2. This product is excreted in breast milk; contraindicated in breastfeeding women.
Elderly Precautions: Use with caution.
【Drug Interactions】
1. Concomitant use of this product with ethanol may enhance central nervous system depressant effects.
2. Concomitant use of this product with other anti-Parkinson's drugs, anticholinergics, antihistamines, phenothiazines, or tricyclic antidepressants may enhance anticholinergic responses.
3. Concomitant use of this product with central nervous system stimulants may enhance central nervous system excitation; in severe cases, it may cause convulsions or arrhythmias.
【Pharmacological Action】
This product was originally an antiviral drug. Its anti-Parkinson's disease mechanism mainly involves promoting the synthesis and release of dopamine in the striatum, reducing the reuptake of dopamine by nerve cells, and having an anti-acetylcholine effect, thereby improving the symptoms of Parkinson's disease patients.
