【Appearance】

【Indications】
Used for Parkinson's disease and Parkinson's syndrome. It can also be used for drug-induced extrapyramidal disorders.
【Dosage and Administration】
For oral administration in Parkinson's disease and Parkinson's syndrome, start with 1-2 mg daily, increasing by 2 mg every 3-5 days until the best therapeutic effect is achieved without adverse reactions. Generally, the daily dose should not exceed 10 mg, divided into 3-4 doses. Long-term use is required. The maximum daily dose is 20 mg. For drug-induced extrapyramidal disorders, the first day is 2-4 mg, divided into 2-3 doses, gradually increasing to 5-10 mg as needed and with tolerance. Dosage should be reduced appropriately for elderly patients.
【Adverse Reactions】
Common side effects include dry mouth and blurred vision; occasional side effects include tachycardia, nausea, vomiting, urinary retention, and constipation. Long-term use may cause drowsiness, depression, memory loss, hallucinations, and confusion.
【Contraindications】
Patients with glaucoma, urinary retention, or benign prostatic hyperplasia.
【Precautions】
Overdose symptoms include dilated pupils, increased intraocular pressure, palpitations, tachycardia, dysuria, weakness, headache, facial flushing, fever, or abdominal distension. Sometimes, symptoms of toxic psychosis such as confusion, delirium, delusions, and hallucinations may occur. Severe cases may lead to coma, convulsions, and circulatory failure. Treatment: Induce vomiting or perform gastric lavage, take measures to increase excretion, and provide appropriate symptomatic and supportive treatment according to the patient's condition.

Pregnancy and Lactation: Use with caution.
Elderly: Long-term use in the elderly may easily trigger glaucoma. Patients with arteriosclerosis are prone to experiencing confusion, disorientation, anxiety, hallucinations, and psychotic symptoms when taking commonly used doses of anti-Parkinson's drugs. Caution should be exercised when using these medications.
【Drug Interactions】
1. Concomitant use of this product with ethanol or other central nervous system depressants may enhance the central nervous system depressant effect.
2. Concomitant use of this product with amantadine, anticholinergic drugs, monoamine oxidase inhibitors such as pargeline and procarbazine may enhance the anticholinergic effect and may cause paralytic ileus.
3. Concomitant use of this product with monoamine oxidase inhibitors may lead to hypertension.
4. Concomitant use of this product with antacids or adsorbent antidiarrheal agents may weaken the effect of this product.
5. Concomitant use of this product with chlorpromazine may reduce its blood concentration due to the latter's accelerated metabolism.
6. Concomitant use of this product with cardiac glycosides can prolong the latter's residence time in the gastrointestinal tract, increase absorption, and easily lead to poisoning.
