【Ingredients】
The main ingredient of this product is mecobalamin, its chemical name is: Coα-[α-(5,6-dimethylbenzimidazolyl)]-Coβ-methylcobalaminamide.
【Appearance】
This product is a hard capsule, the contents of which are a light red powder.
【Indications】
Peripheral neuropathy.
【Dosage and Administration】
Oral administration. The usual adult dose is 0.5 mg three times a day, which may be increased or decreased according to age and symptoms.
【Adverse Reactions】
1. Allergic reaction: Occasionally, a rash may occur (incidence <0.1%). If this occurs, discontinue use.
2. Other: Occasionally (incidence 5%–0.1%), loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
【Contraindications】
Contraindicated in patients with a history of allergy to mecobalamin or any of the excipients in the prescription.
【Precautions】
1. If ineffective after one month of use, discontinue use.
2. Workers exposed to mercury and its compounds should not take this product in large quantities or for extended periods.

Pregnancy and Lactation: Although methylcobalamin has not shown teratogenic effects in animal studies, its safety in pregnant women is unclear. It is unclear whether methylcobalamin is excreted in breast milk, but animal studies have reported its excretion in breast milk. The safety of this product in lactating women is unclear.
Elderly: Due to decreased function in the elderly, it is recommended to reduce the dosage under the guidance of a physician.

【Pharmacological Action】
Pharmacological Action: This product is an endogenous coenzyme B12 that participates in the one-carbon unit cycle and plays an important role in the transmethylation reaction of homocysteine to methionine. Animal experiments have shown that this product enters neuronal organelles more easily than cyanocobalamin, participating in the synthesis of thymidine in brain cells and spinal cord neurons, promoting folic acid utilization and nucleic acid metabolism, and its effect on promoting nucleic acid and protein synthesis is stronger than that of cyanocobalamin. This product can promote axonal transport function and axonal regeneration, normalize the transport of sciatic nerve axonal skeletal proteins induced by streptozotocin in diabetic rats, and inhibit drug-induced neurodegeneration, such as that induced by doxorubicin, acrylamide, vincristine, and neurological diseases in spontaneously hypertensive rats. In rat tissue culture, this product has been found to promote lecithin.
